The First School In the United States Built Solely to Educate and Provide Therapeutic Services to Children with Multiple Disabilities

The warm, respectful and vibrant environment of our preschool program offers highly individualized educational and therapeutic services to children ages 3 to 5 with special needs. Our classrooms are rich in learning opportunities and materials are carefully chosen to address the developmental levels and needs of those in each class. Group activities are emphasized and strong teacher-student relationships ensure that every child participates. Therapeutic services addressed within each student’s IEP, including speech, physical and occupational therapy, are integrated into the preschool classroom setting and expertise is shared among classroom and therapy staff.

 

Kindergarten readiness is important for all children.  A. Harry Moore preschool graduates will have the skills necessary to move into a kindergarten setting, whether continuing education here at A. Harry Moore School or moving on to another school.
