Speech Therapy
The A. Harry Moore School offers individualized speech and language therapy to meet each child’s unique needs. Our speech therapists treat students in all areas of speech and language development. These include receptive and expressive language, auditory processing disorders, social and pragmatic language, articulation, fluency, feeding/swallowing disorders, as well as oral motor issues.
At The A. Harry Moore School we use a total communication approach (i.e. oral communication, augmentative and alternative communication, picture exchange communication system, gestures, and basic sign language). We strive to provide each student with the skills necessary to communicate functionally, to their fullest potential, within his/her community.
All of our speech and language pathologists are certified by the New Jersey Department of Education as well as ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association).
